In Kachin State, the military council has been conducting daily raids and offensives with military convoys. The KIO News Agency has warned civilians not to go out when the military advances with full strength in convoys.

This warning comes as members of the joint military forces have been shooting at or arresting those who follow and look at the troop convoys. Since the military does not distinguish between civilians and enemies when firing during such operations, people are urged not to go out and watch during military convoy movements.

At present, the military continues to reinforce and maneuver around areas including Waimaw–Le Myin, Bhamaw, and Hpakant, where clashes remain intense daily as both sides face heightened tensions.

On August 25, a woman watching a military convoy reinforce from Maw Si Zar in Hpakant towards the Hpakant strategic hill was shot dead by soldiers near Pantin Bridge at the entrance of Hpakant.

Additionally, on August 24, nine men from Maw Si Zar were reportedly arrested and taken away by a military convoy advancing in the Hpakant area.
