As of today, September 22, intense clashes in the Lang Se area have lasted for four consecutive days. Around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, a jet fighter carried out an airstrike, resulting in civilian casualties.

Clashes in Lang Se first broke out on September 19 when the military and the Hkawng Lang Hpu Militia jointly launched an offensive against KIA forces, and fighting has continued until the present.
Meanwhile, apart from the Lang Se battles, the military also shelled the Waimaw-Lamyang area with heavy artillery starting this morning. At present, the military is reinforcing troops in Hpakant, Waimaw, and Bhamaw, launching successive assaults with aircraft, drones, and heavy artillery almost daily, leading to civilian deaths and injuries.
Locals report that the fighting is intensifying day by day.In Sagaing Region, Bhamauk town, which had been held by military and Shan Ni (SNA) joint forces, was seized by KIA and PDF allied forces after an attack on September 20 at around 6:30 p.m.
While suffering increasing losses, the military on September 21 also carried out two suicide drone attacks against Laiza, the KIO headquarters area, but no casualties were reported. It is noted that the current clashes in Lang Se reignited in an area previously captured by KIA joint forces on November 10, 2024, when the military and allied Militia forces launched fresh offensives.
