Along the Hpakant road, including village entrances such as Nam Ya, Kap Maw, and Seng Hpra, the military junta has stationed troops and taken positions, causing difficulties for local residents when attempting to retrieve belongings or visit and check on their homes, according to reports.

Although there are currently no active clashes along the Hpakant road, drivers and travelers are able to pass through by paying checkpoint fees. However, local residents in the area are reportedly facing difficulties even in making temporary returns to their places of origin.

In particular, along the Hpakant road, the military junta has occupied positions and established checkpoints, where people returning to check on their homes are being stopped and searched. Despite the absence of active fighting, drone bomb attacks and artillery fire are reportedly being carried out at any time on an ongoing basis.

Fighting has been occurring along the Hpakant road since April of last year, forcing local residents to flee on their own to safer areas. This displacement has continued up to the present time.
