Military Beats and Detains 42 Civilians

A total of 42 civilians from Lone Khin village in Hpakant were arrested and taken away in a single day by military commission forces and allied troops, according to sources.
The 42 civilians, who were working at Mai Hospital and U Ru Sutt Aung guesthouse in Lone Khin village, were beaten and arrested by the joint military commission forces.
On the night of April 21, military commission troops suddenly entered Mai Hospital in Aung Yar ward, Lone Khin village, and beat and took away 24 civilians, including a doctor, nurses, and patients receiving medical treatment.
After that, they also entered U Ru Sutt Aung guesthouse with a large number of forces and arrested 18 people in total, including 11 staff members and 7 guests staying at the guesthouse.
In addition to arresting the civilians, they also confiscated the victims’ phones, seized two Land Cruiser vehicles, and took Starlink Wi-Fi devices, according to sources.
