Military Commission and Allied Forces Reinforcing Troop Strength in Hpakant Region

It has been reported that in Hpakant region, the military commission forces and allied civilian militias are continuously reinforcing their troop strength.

Since early April, following clashes between the KIA allied forces and military commission troops within Hpakant, some military commission bases were captured by the KIA allied forces. Subsequently, the military and the Min Zay Thant-led Warazup militias have been continuously bolstering their military presence.

On 6 April, it was further reported that the Warazup militias were reinforcing troop positions from the Malang Dung village side toward Hpakant instead of along the Hpakant main road.

In Hpakant, daily clashes continue between the KIA allied forces and military commission troops. The military has been conducting attacks using aircraft and heavy weapons, and both sides remain in a tense standoff.
