The Military Commission has expanded the number of military training schools for the Military Service training programs, according to a statement released by the Myanmar Defense and Security Institute (MDSI).

After activating the Military Service Law, the military junta has been conducting military training courses on a continuous monthly basis. It is reported that there are currently up to 27 military training school locations operating across Myanmar.

MDSI stated that the military junta is not only conducting Military Service training at training schools under the Office of the Commander in Chief, but is also opening such training programs at schools under the Office of the Commander in Chief (Navy).

As a result, military junta forces are reportedly carrying out recruitment of new conscripts from among young people across Myanmar through various methods for the People’s Military Service training.

In addition, it is reported that the total number of trainees who have completed up to the 15th batch of the Military Service training has exceeded 71,000, and that training programs have currently been opened up to the 19th batch.
