Military Council Using Airstrikes and Drones Indiscriminately; Civilians Urged to Stay Alert

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has warned civilians to remain vigilant and prepare safe shelters, as the military council has been using airstrikes, heavy weapons, and drones indiscriminately, even in areas without ongoing battles.

It is learned that military council troops are currently launching offensives in Bhamaw and Waimaw areas of Kachin State, attempting to retake territories they previously lost, leading to intense clashes.

In addition, frequent clashes have been occurring in the Hpakant area, where the military council has been indiscriminately firing heavy artillery, launching drone attacks, and carrying out airstrikes, resulting in repeated civilian casualties.

Reports indicate that the military council continues to conduct such attacks not only in active conflict zones across Kachin State and the country but also in areas where no clashes are taking place, using airpower, heavy weapons, and drones.
