Sources report that an airstrike by the military junta on a school in the Mawlu area of Indaw Township, Kachin State and Sagaing Region, resulted in the death of a Grade 12 student and injuries to two others.
It was reported that yesterday, January 2, at around 1:17-1:20 a.m., the military junta carried out an aerial bomb attack on a School in the Mawlu area.
Since there was no ongoing battle, the attack was arbitrary. As a result, one Grade 12 student was killed, and two other students were injured, according to a statement released by Indaw Revolution (IR).
It is known that since 2023, the Mawlu area of Indaw Township has been under the control of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), and allied PDF forces.
