Military Supply Convoy Attacked

According to sources, resistance allied forces ambushed a military supply convoy along the Htigyaing–Katha road section, which was recently re-controlled by the military council, and reportedly seized some weapons and military equipment.

It is reported that the military supply convoy, which departed from Htigyaing toward Katha to transport supplies, was ambushed twice by the People’s Defense Force (PDF) and allied resistance groups working together.

Further reports indicate that clashes also broke out between the two sides following the attack on the military supply convoy.

After regaining control of the Htigyain, Katha, Mawlu areas, the military council also reopened and reestablished control over the Mandalay–Myitkyina strategic highway on May 9, a route that had been closed for a long period of time.
