Min Aung Hlaing Says Candidates Must Compete Fairly in Upcoming Junta Organized Election

Min Aung Hlaing has stated that candidates running in the upcoming junta organized election must compete fairly.

While attending the graduation ceremony at the Defence Services Academy in Pyin Oo Lwin, Min Aung Hlaing urged political parties and parliamentary candidates to participate in the election fairly.

Despite his remarks about fair competition, it is known that opposition political party leaders are being detained and oppressed.

The first phase of the junta organized election is scheduled to be held on December 28, with phases two and three planned for January 2026, according to the announcement.
