It has been reported that military leader Min Aung Hlaing is actively campaigning across the country, urging citizens to vote in the upcoming December 28 election for parliamentary candidates who have strong views on security and administration and who uphold the Three National Causes.

He stated that when voting, citizens should prioritize candidates who truly uphold the Three National Causes, and who possess sound political, security, economic, and administrative perspectives, individuals capable of genuinely working for the good of the nation and their regions.

For the upcoming election organized by the military council, a 60 day campaign period has been granted from 6:00 a.m. on October 28 until midnight on December 26.

Min Aung Hlaing also said that by-elections would be held in constituencies where elections cannot take place for various reasons, and that electronic voting machines have been prepared to prevent electoral fraud.

The military council has extended the announcement period for the first phase of voter lists for the multi-party democratic general election until October 20, adding seven more days.
