It has been reported that the Myitkyina-Mandalay road will be reopened in early January of the coming year, 2026.

Although there were no battles in the area, the road was closed on the evening of the 27th, and it is currently understood that many vehicles are stranded within the closed section.

Furthermore, although some vehicles are using alternative routes, it is said there are many difficulties and the journey is not smooth.

After the closure of the Myitkyina-Mandalay road, only alternative routes are being used, and it is reported that travel has significantly decreased as only those who absolutely must travel are making the journey.

Currently, the fare per traveler has dropped to as low as 180,000 kyats, and it is also learned that a journey that previously took one day now takes nearly a week.
