Myitkyina: Nine Houses Destroyed in Rampu Ward Fire

In Myitkyina, Kachin State, nine houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out today, November 26, at around 9 a.m. in Rampu Ward, Area (14).

All nine houses were built within the same compound, making it easy for the fire to spread rapidly from one house to another, resulting in the complete destruction of all nine homes.

“At first, we thought it was just smoke. The fire trucks came and put out the fire,” a man from Rampu Ward told reporters.

Although the fire was successfully extinguished by fire engines, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

In September, Myitkyina also saw an incident of coop fires caused by gas stove usage.
