Due to the continued closure of the Myitkyina–Shwebo road, some vehicles have been forced to turn back, according to statements from drivers.

Drivers said that the Myitkyina–Shwebo road has remained closed since December 10 up to today, leaving hundreds of cargo trucks stranded.

“Because the road has been continuously closed, some vehicles have turned back, while others are waiting,” said one driver.

It is reported that the military has blocked vehicles traveling toward Myitkyina, while vehicles heading in the opposite direction are being allowed to pass intermittently.

Along the Myitkyina–Shwebo strategic road section, from Sabe Nant Thar village to Yekyi village in Kantbalu Township, the military has stationed troops at fixed positions. As a result, some vehicles are traveling via detour routes, according to reports.
