Nearly Thirty Thousand People Arrested and Over Seven Thousand Killed During the Coup Period

From the time of the military coup up to October 31, a total of 29,900 people across the country have been arrested by the military, while the total number of deaths has reached 7,427, according to a statement released by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).

Among those arrested, 6,183 are women, and 1,896 women are among the deceased.

In addition, 627 children have been arrested, while 955 children are listed among the dead. The report also confirmed that 2,220 people were killed after being arrested.

Furthermore, a total of 22,587 individuals, including 4,297 women and 248 children, are still being detained at various military-controlled locations, while about 4,100 more cases are still under verification, according to the report.

Across the country in October alone, 114 people 49 women and 65 men were killed.
