Over 270 Civilians Killed Nationwide in Junta Airstrikes During April း

The military junta launched large-scale offensives and intense airstrikes against revolutionary strongholds throughout April, resulting in the deaths of nearly 276 civilians, according to a statement released today by the National Unity Government (NUG).
While rescue and reconstruction efforts were underway across the country following a powerful earthquake in April, the junta escalated its attacks using airstrikes and ground assaults, the NUG reported.
Between March 28 and May 4, the military conducted 282 airstrikes nationwide, killing 276 civilians and injuring 456 others, the NUG’s statement revealed.
Among the dead were 31 children under the age of 18, while 45 children were among the injured.
Sagaing Region suffered the highest number of airstrikes, with 89 fatalities and 135 injuries recorded.
