Fighting across Kachin State has been intensifying day by day, with reports confirming that State Administration Council (SAC) forces have been conducting continuous airstrikes.
Within the past week, daily clashes were reported in Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant areas, amounting to 57 separate clashes. The overall conflict situation in Kachin State has become increasingly intense compared to the previous week.
SAC troops have primarily carried out attacks using aircraft, drones, and heavy artillery. According to KIO media sources, on the Bhamaw frontline alone, there were 137 drone bombings, 650 artillery strikes, and 284 airstrikes.
Airstrikes were not only launched on active battlefields but also targeted areas around KIA Brigades (7, 4, and 1), where bombing have been frequently conducted. The Bhamaw frontline remains the most intense battlefield, with 47 clashes recorded within the week.
As the SAC pushes ahead with preparations for the nationwide election campaign period, it is attempting to expand control over planned polling areas through heavy ground and air operations. Due to ongoing airstrikes even in villages where no clashes have occurred, innocent civilians continue to suffer casualties and harm.
