Over 6,813 Civilians Killed in More Than Four Years, Says AAPP

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), more than four years after the military coup and throughout the Spring Revolution period, a total of 6,813 civilians have been confirmed killed by the military junta.


 Additionally, there are about 3,500 more deaths that are still awaiting verification.


The total number of people arrested has reached 29,316. Of these, 22,163 people remain in detention, and 10,867 have been sentenced to prison terms. However, 7,153 people have also been released.


A total of 172 people have been sentenced to death by the military council, with 128 of those sentences handed down while in prison and 44 in absentia.


Furthermore, 620 children have been unlawfully arrested, and 834 children have been killed. Among women, a total of 6,109 have been unlawfully detained, and 1,662 have been killed.
