Over One Hundred People Killed Nationwide in a Month Due to the Military Council

During the month of August nationwide, a total of 139 people, including pro democracy activists and civilians, were killed due to the actions of the military council, according to a statement released by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
The announced list of casualties includes names and records collected so far, and it was further stated that there are still 185 more deaths within the month under verification.
The causes of these deaths include 85 killed in airstrikes, 24 by heavy artillery attacks, 15 by shootings, 3 burned alive, 1 beheaded, and 11 under investigation.
In Kachin State alone, during the month of August, 14 civilians were killed and 53 injured due to weapons related incidents, according to the Kachin Human Rights Watch (KHRW).
Similarly, since the beginning of September until today, the sound of military air raids, drone flights, and artillery fire continues to be heard daily, while artillery shelling support from Myitkyina towards Waimaw area is still ongoing.
