According to a report by Data for Myanmar, voter turnout in Kachin State reached 68 percent during Phase (1) of the general election organized by the military regime. The election was held in 176 villages and wards across six townships in Kachin State.
Nationwide, the military regime announced that more than 11.6 million eligible voters were recorded across 102 townships, with over 6 million people casting their ballots, resulting in a voter turnout rate of 52.13 percent.
In addition, out of a total of 5,652 wards and villages across the 102 townships, elections were held in only 4,215 locations. As a result, elections were conducted in just 75 percent of the total wards and villages.
According to post Phase (1) election results, the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) won 102 seats in the Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) and 21 seats in the Amyotha Hluttaw (Upper House). Ethnic based parties headquartered in Kachin State have not yet secured any winning seats in the Pyithu Hluttaw, while in the Amyotha Hluttaw under the first past the post (FPTP) system, the USDP has won the majority of seats.
The USDP has also won 108 seats in regional and state parliaments.
In Kachin State’s Naungmon Township, there was only one candidate contesting the Pyithu Hluttaw constituency, and therefore no voting was required for the Pyithu Hluttaw seat.
Overall, based on the post Phase (1) results, the Union Solidarity and Development Party has secured a total of 231 winning candidates across all three legislative bodies, while ethnic political parties have also won a number of seats.
Phase (1) of the general election was held on December 28, 2025, in 102 townships nationwide.
