Regular Heavy Weapon Shelling Continues in Hpakant and Waimaw Areas

It has been reported that the military council is continuously firing heavy weapons indiscriminately in Hpakant and Waimaw areas.

At 3:14 pm on July 22, military troops active in Hpakant town fired heavy artillery indiscriminately, causing shells to explode near Sengtawg.

In addition, at 11 pm on July 21, the Myanmar military based in Myitkyina fired heavy weapons at least six times towards the Waimaw side.

Besides indiscriminate heavy weapon shelling in Hpakant, the military is also carrying out daily airstrikes.

In Waimaw, frequent military activities result in regular clashes, with airstrikes reportedly occurring routinely as well.
