Seven Children and Ten Women Killed in Kachin State Within One Year

Due to violent attacks by the military junta, as many as seven children and ten women have been killed in Kachin State within just one year, according to a statement released by Kachin Human Rights Watch (KHRW).


During the one year period of 2025, a total of 133 civilians were killed and 117 others were injured as a result of violent attacks carried out by the military. Among those killed were seven children and ten women, according to available sources.


In addition, according to a statement by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), within the past year alone, as many as 45 children under the age of 18 were killed due to the military’s airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery shelling.


It is reported that the military junta is conducting ground offensives in conflict areas, while also carrying out aerial bombardments, drone strikes, and heavy artillery attacks.
