In Kachin State, where military operations are intensifying, as many as 17 clashes between the Military Council troops and KIA forces took place within one week in Bhamo, Waimaw, and Hpakant areas, during which six military drones were also shot down, according to KIA news sources.

This week, the most intense fighting has been in the Bhamo area, where the Military Council has been conducting not only ground offensives but also continuous attacks using airstrikes, drones, and heavy weapons. Within the week, the military carried out 50 airstrikes, dropped more than 30 drone bombs, and fired heavy weapons 417 times.

Ground offensives in the Bhamo area are still ongoing, and it is reported that there have been many casualties on both sides.

In Hpakant as well, the fighting has been severe, and because the military has been attacking daily with heavy weapons and airstrikes into civilian areas, civilian casualties have continued to occur.

In addition, in Mai Nawng and Mamung Kai areas, which are under the No. (9) Military Operations Command and No. (26) Regional Military Command, clashes between KIA allied forces and the SNA People’s Army have also been escalating.

Similarly, in Waimaw, three battles occurred as the military launched ground attacks, while conducting artillery shelling from Myitkyina side, along with airstrikes and drone bombings.

Moreover, in Hkatcho and Datkyan villages, the military has continued to operate offensively with troop movements.

As clashes continue to break out daily across Kachin State, the KIA news agency has issued a warning for civilians to remain cautious.
