Suicide Drones Attack Laiza Town

According to local residents, Laiza town, the KIA headquarters, came under two separate suicide drone attacks launched by the military on September 21.Residents said the attacks occurred once around 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon and again at about 11:30 p.m. at night, with people only hearing loud explosions.

Some locals reported that the strikes might have landed on the western side of the Myitkyina Hotel, but the exact location of impact has not been confirmed, and whether there were any casualties remains unknown as investigations are ongoing.It was also learned that Laiza town had previously been attacked with suicide drones in January and February of this year.

Meanwhile, intense clashes are also continuing in Bhamaw, Hpakant, and Waimaw towns in Kachin State, while renewed fighting has broken out since September 19 in Sawlaw area, which is currently under KIA control.
