According to a local resident, many Ake residents are fleeing to nearby safety area due to the reinforcement of the SAC forces in Ake Village on the Myitkyina-Mogaung highway road, the contact clashes between the KIA joint forces and the SAC, and the heavy artilleries firing of the SAC in the village.
“In our village, we always hear the sound of the gunpoint. Yesterday, there was a clash with KIA. And this early morning, they chased shooting a car going towards Hparaw Village. The SAC camp that stationed in the village is also firing heavy artilleries. Because of that, all the locals around the SAC camp fled. Now there are just a few residents in the middle part of the village,” said a woman.
In addition, at about 9:15 this morning, the SAC opened fire against a vehicle that was going towards Hparaw village. And it was reported that there were bullet hits in a nearby house.

“In this morning, the SAC chased shooting the car going towards Hparaw village. Thebullets they shot hit the house near where children were playing. There is no damage. The children’s father has taken his children to their close relatives from another village,” said a local.
According to a local resident, the road leading to Hparaw Village are not allowed for cars to pass through, only motorcycles are allowed to travel.
Similarly, at around 11:00 AM yesterday, the SAC forces in Ake village and the KIA joint forces engaged in a skirmish for about 30 minutes, therefore the local residents are still fleeing to nearby church and relatives' houses.

At present, 10 households in the eastern part of the SAC camp, 20 households in the western part of camp in Ake Village and almost 40 households around Malikha in the lower part of the village are fleeing.
Currently, around (100) soldiers of SAC forces are patrolling in Ake Village with 5 soldiers in one group. More than 70 local households are also fleeing to nearby churches and other safe places. Similarly, children and the elderly have also been sent to close relatives.
About 30 soldiers of those SAC forces are already stationed near the school campus of Ake Village, and the rest of the forces are reinforced to that area on March 10th at around 7:00 AM.
On March 7th, after the KIA joint forces attacked the SAC’s Nam Paung Air Base in Myitkyina with Shock Missiles. After that incident the SAC forces deployed near Shadau Village and Ake Village on the Myitkyina-Mogaung highway road, and it is reported that there were artilleries firing frequently.
