The SAC Was Firing Incessantly With Heavy Artilleries Without Any Clashes In Mohnyin

The SAC fired heavy artilleries without any clashes last night in Mohnyin Town, Kachin State. And the local residents said that they were worried that the heavy weapons would explode on people’s houses due to the random firing of heavy weapons.

“At around 6:00 PM, two shots were fired from the armed forces with heavy artilleries. At around 7:00 PM, gunshots were heard continuously from the side of Tan Thapin village. As far as I heard, it would be about 30 shots, it calmed for a while, and from about 8:30 AM they started firing the heavy artillery again. It stopped after 4:00 AM,” said a 45-year-old resident.

It is reported that the Ten Miles Armed Forces, Armed Forced Stationed near Inn Pho Inn Ma and the Armed Forces Stationed inside Mohnyin University are firing heavy weapons towards the southeast.

“When I heard the sound of the heavy weapons, at 7 o’clock at night there were no people on the street. Even when I went to the clinic because my child was sick, there wasn’t any clinic opened. The whole town was silent. There were the incidents before, that people got injured due to their heavy weapons fell on the residents’ houses, as soon as the sounds were heard, the whole town was silent,” said a local.

Since the SAC continued to fire randomly with heavy weapons every day even there were no clashes in Mohnyin Town, the local said that they were panicking and worried that the heavy weapons would explode at where they stay.

There was an incident of a woman who was taking a nap at her home was hit by an explosion and her left hand was amputated due to the SAC’s firing heavy weapons in Mohnyin. Therefore, the locals are worried that the same phenomenon will happen again.
