Three Road Accidents Occur in a Single Day in Myitkyina

Three road accidents occurred within a single day in Myitkyina, resulting in one death, according to local social rescue teams based in Myitkyina.

On December 9, in just one day, a motorcycle accident occurred near Nine Star Gas Station in Tat Kone Ward, and another incident took place near Yan Gyi Aung Htoo Gas Station.

It is reported that one man and two women were injured in those accidents. In addition, near the roundabout at the intersection of Njang Dung–Manhkring Road, a male driver died due to a car accident.

That man, at around 2:30 AM on December 9, crashed a white Crown car at high speed into a utility pole near the unity statue roundabout, and died on the spot.

It is said that he had consumed alcohol at the time of inspection, and the car’s brakes were found to be damaged.

Therefore, social rescue teams urged the public to avoid drinking alcohol while driving, refrain from drunk driving, and avoid high speed driving of cars and motorcycles.

Road accidents have been occurring frequently in Myitkyina, and on December 7 at around 8:15 PM, another collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred near My Day intersection in Mye Myint Ward.
