After two military outposts were seized in the Hkawnglanghpu area of Putao District, Kachin State, the junta is reportedly reinforcing its troops in the area and making preparations at the level of field commanders, according to local sources.

Joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) successfully captured two military and People’s Militia outposts, one in Ngwa Ja La village and another in a nearby village under Hkawnglanghpu Township in recent days.

As a result, the junta has reportedly been reinforcing troops and weapon supplies from lower Myanmar to the 46th Infantry Battalion based in Putao town.

During October alone, the joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) managed to seize a total of four junta and People’s Militia outposts in Hkawnglanghpu Township.

In addition, junta forces have continued to carry out a series of airstrikes in areas including Putao, Hpakant, Bhamo, and Banmauk on the Kachin border region.
