U Htay Ngwe Becomes Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration under NUG

The Committee Representing the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) announced today (March 30) that U Htay Ngwe has been additionally appointed as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration under the National Unity Government (NUG).

During the CRPH’s regular coordination meeting No. (13/2026) held today, the appointment of U Htay Ngwe as Deputy Minister was approved, and he officially took an oath before the committee, according to the statement.

The meeting was held online, where CRPH Chairman U Aung Kyi Nyunt delivered the opening remarks, and Secretary Daw Phyu Phyu Thin gave a greeting speech.

With this additional appointment, there are now two Deputy Ministers in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration under the NUG, and U Htay Ngwe will jointly carry out responsibilities alongside U Kyaw Ni.
