Gold Price Rises Again to 8.6 Million Kyats per Tical

As of October 15, 2025, domestic gold prices in Myanmar have risen alongside global market trends, reaching over 8.6 million kyats per tical, according to local gold and money exchange dealers.
Although the value of the US dollar has recently declined and exchange rates have dropped, international gold prices have sharply increased in a short period.Currently, in the external market, the selling price of 16 pae gold per tical stands at 8,620,000 kyats, while the buying price is 8,550,000 kyats. For 15 pae gold, the selling price is 8,220,000 kyats and the buying price is 8,170,000 kyats.In Myanmar’s domestic gold market, the last record high was observed after June, when the price rose to 8.2 million kyats per tical.
As of today, October 15, global gold prices have reached 4,188 USD per ounce, showing an increase of over 400 USD per ounce compared to roughly one month ago.
